== Dimensional Shrooms by Mythorb ==

= Story =
The high council of the Mythland has always been very peace-loving. But as time
went on and as no mythical creatures died the land has been severely
over-populated. The proposed solution was to go to the dimension of the ants
where the warp gate for dimensional travel lies since no such thing exists in
Mythland though some of the creatures in Mythland posess the power of limited
teleportation between dimensions. This plan won all elections clearly and after
some time the all so peacefull council had no choice but to approve it. You were
assigned on this mission and when you arrived at the dimension of the ants the
equipment you had with you had completely changed its form due to such effects
of the teleportation. You were stuck somewhere in space between the dimensions
and stayed unharmed and now you have to cope with things you've got: mushrooms.
After calmly analyzing the situation and thinking things throughoutly you
realize that your only hope is to connect your command center to the gate with
the help of these mushrooms.

= Instructions =
You can select objects by pressing the left mouse button. The creature can be
selected by clicking at an empty spot and moved by clicking with the right
button. The bar in the left contains spell slots and info about selected object.
When you select an object with spells icons appear there in the empty boxes.
You can get the description of a spell by holding the cursor on the top of
a spell button. These spells may cost energy which is subtracted from the
object's energy after casting or they may have cooldown times. Spells have
hotkeys which can be used in two ways: with positional mode or hotkey mode.
These can be selected under the settings menu. In positional mode you are able
to pick a key to represent first spell slot, second spell slot etc. In hotkey
mode all spells have predefined keys which can be found out by holding the mouse
on the icon. You can also bind an object to a hotkey by pressing Ctrl+{0..9}
which allows you to quickly select a previously selected object by pressing
{0..9}. When you have selected the command center you are able to
select/deselect mushrooms with the right mouse button. This makes you able to
fertilize mushrooms with command center's spells. Note that all mushrooms to
be selected must by connected to the command by a path consisting of only
selected and connected mushrooms.

To get the best result you should first try all spells and see what they are
good for. Remember to fertilize too. If you feel there is balance problems in
the game please go to the forums to discuss about them.

The game is won when you have a path of connected mushrooms from the command
center to the warp gate in the top right corner. You lose if you don't have
a living command center.

= Compiling on Linux =
You first need make, gcc and SFML 1.6 development files for C++
(http://sfml-dev.org/).
Then compile by running command "make".
Run with ./mushroom.

= FAQ =
Q: Why can't I bind ' in settings on Linux?
A: This is a "feature" in SFML and needs a simple patch to fix it as well as recompiling SFML.
