InfoMat BBS started life as a small BBS to support the needs of two
businesses, Exhibit A Communications and Law Offices of Gerald R. Gibbs
(Now Gibbs, Dunham & Gibbs). In addition to offerring support for
Exhibit A shareware as well as a channel of communication with clients
of the law office, it was decided that a general-purpose BBS be offered
to the public at large.

The GAP based system is hooked into a number of local and international
mail networks including: RIME, Intelec, P&BNet, RaceNet RocieNet and
OCIN. As a result, the conferences cover topics from OffRoad Racing to
Poetry, from Writing to Photography, and so much more.
The board is also heavily devoted to the concept of digital publishing.
Exhibit A's flagship shareware program is the READROOM door. This door
is designed to allow the display and distribution of electronic
magazines and newsletters via BBS systems. As such, there are close to
40 publications online in the READROOM door. Exhibit A Communications
is a member of the Digital Publishing Association and the READROOM door
won a 2nd place in the Digital Quill awards for 1993.

The sysop, Michael Gibbs, continues to write shareware programs for the
BBS community as well as cover off-road racing for RaceNet and the
Sun/Post News. He also publishes an electronic magazine called
DirtBytes Magazine (in the READROOM.TOC format, of course) which is
dedicated to bringing as much of the off-road world online.

Some of the other products offered by Exhibit A Communications are: MPD,
the Mult-Purpose Display door; LastRelay, the network transfer reporting
utility; FMM, the GAP forum menu maker; AutoPost, the text file posting
utility for use with UTIs; and much, much more to come!
